This Association is a medium through which Baptist churches choose to work harmoniously in cooperation with each other.

It does not have any ecclesiastical authority.

It does recognize the sovereignty of the churches under the one Sovereign, Jesus Christ our Lord.
This organization was formed in partnership with Marion Baptist Church, Marion, TX and Bible Baptist Church in Sequin, TX. The IMBA in the Philippines was established in partnership with Marion Baptist Church, Marion, TX and Southern Cebu Marion Baptist Church, Cebu.
